Notes
starts a new note. With more than one note, each has a tab. Every note belongs to a pane, and the tabs of a pane stand together: click a tab to show that note in its pane. Right-click a tab to move its note to another pane. can hide the tabs, and lists the notes while they are hidden. A note is called after its first line until you give it a name: double-click its tab, or right-click the tab for renaming, moving and deleting. An empty note without a name disappears when you leave it.
Panes
splits the pane you are in and puts another note beside it. Right-click beside or below the text of a note to split its pane to the right or downwards, up to six panes in all. Beside a line that has text below it, you can also split there: the text below goes to the new pane as a note of its own. In a pane with more than one note, in its corner goes to its next note. The in the corner of a pane closes it, which never deletes its notes: their tabs go to the pane next to it. Drag the line between two panes to resize them, double-click it to make them equal, and right-click it to close a side, merge two notes or turn the split the other way.
Markdown and plain text
switches a note between Markdown and plain text. In a Markdown note, pasting a URL over selected words turns them into a link. A line you are not working on shows its links as links you can click, a task as a checkbox, and bold, italic and struck through text without their marks; put the cursor on the line to see and change its Markdown.
Tasks
Type [] at the start of a line for a task. Enter starts the next one. Tick it off with its checkbox or with Ctrl + Space: that makes it [x], and strikes the line through in a Markdown note.
Saving and backups
Notes are saved as you type, in this browser only: nothing is uploaded, and they are gone when the browser's data is cleared. has Export: one note comes as a .md or .txt file, several notes as one zip file with a file for each, and the layout of your panes. Import in the same menu reads .md and .txt files and such zip files back in, each as a new note, and can put the panes back as they were. You can also drop them on a note.
